If you are browsing the Macy's shoe department and you just happen to receive an electronic 20% off discount on your smart phone it might not be a coincidence. It seems thanks to technology our in-store shopping experience is more optimized to where one is able to be tracked within the store. 

Smartphone technology uses Wi-Fi to submit signals as you shop throughout the store. This detectable type of shopping is made even easier if you are a customer who has downloaded  an app that invites your moves to become monitored. 

This type of shopping is so advanced some cameras are used to monitor customers facial expressions and even determine which aisles are more popular. Jessica Reinhart of Smyrna, Georgia replied, " I don't mind the new technology when shopping. If I happen to get a discount on my phone before I get to the register I would be overjoyed!" Still, her husband Greg said he thinks it all sounds a little creepy.
