Did you know Ugly Sweater day is Friday the 18th?

Christmas time brings about the never ending invitations to social engagements, the awkward work gift exchange, the heavy and unappetizing fruitcake, and of course…the Ugly Christmas Sweater.   Ugly Christmas Sweaters- Well, the sweater and its inherent ugliness has become so popular that now it has turned into an official day. That’s right, Ugly Sweater Day is now celebrated on Friday, December the 18th. Get ready folks, all those reindeer, furry Santa Claus, glittery letters, and even frilly snowflakes are now going to be in full display on some ghastly colorful sweaters this Friday! In fact, the apparent and overt theme of Christmas on these sweaters have catapulted into creating them into something trendy and fashionable. Macy's at Lenox holds annual Lighting of the Great Tree ceremony

In Atlanta you know the holidays have officially started when Macy’s lights up their wondrous tree. In fact, the ceremony of the Lighting of the Great Tree is quite a big occasion.   Previously, this event is held on Thanksgiving night and followed up with great shopping.  However, this year Macy’s held the event at the Lenox Square location on Sunday, November 22, 2015. In true Macy’s style the night was super fabulous, with top entertainment, great singing, local celebrities, and some of the crowd even had gift bags to take home in remembrance of Macy’s Lighting of the Great Tree. This marks the 68 th annual event of the Lighting of the Great Tree and with the fireworks, choirs, great performances, holiday music, extra security, and celebrities the night goes down as a spectacular start to the holiday season.
