Oysterfest takes over Park Tavern in Piedmont Park






Have you been waiting for the perfect time to indulge in your love for oysters?
Well, the Oysterfest in Park Tavern on Saturday, February 17, 2018 is the perfect place to share that indulgence. In fact the Park Tavern is taking over with an abundance of oysters right by Piedmont Park. The oysters are available in different succulent ways from fried to steamed. Just imagine all your oyster filled taste buds will have extreme pleasure. Park Tavern is already known for exemplary service and a great hangout spot. They have a dynamite kitchen that even includes a signature shrimp dish. Along with the oysters and shrimp they have a great bar with cocktails that will keep your thirst quenched. You can also quench your thirst for funky music with the different musical performances planned throughout the day. Now combine that love of food with the love of music and the park will surely have an overflow gathering that is guaranteed to become one of the best events of the year.


Love of Music- The love of music is obvious with music agenda for that day that is designed to keep you moving and grooving.  Coyote Anyway will crank up the amplifiers with a fresh, yet familiar tone at 2 p.m., before the Atlanta-based southern rock group, Moody Hollow, hits the stage. Then, Members Only, a tribute band bringing revelers back to the 80s, will keep the party rolling until Atlanta Funk Society takes the mic. The 12-piece funk band will fill the headliner spot, serving up classic hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s including: “Superbad” by James Brown, “Whatcha Gonna Do For Me” by Chaka Kahn, and of course, offer an unparalleled high energy performance that promises to be unforgettable. ABOUT PARK TAVERN

Park Tavern, a favorite neighborhood bar, restaurant, brewery and events facility, is located on the Atlanta Beltline in the heart of Midtown on the corner of 10th Street and Monroe overlooking Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline.  The building was originally built in 1905 as horse stables for local racing enthusiasts and then transformed into a golf clubhouse in 1928. Although expanded and renovated over the years, the building still features some of the original woodwork and stone from the historic clubhouse. Hope Global Forum 2017 identifies the Invisible Class

What does it mean to give access to empowering others? These are some of the topics explored during the Hope Global Forum 2017.  The Hope Global Forum was held in Atlanta, Georgia from April 10-12th.
