Oysterfest serves up a shucking good time

Oyster lovers had a good time shucking, shoveling, and squeezing lemon on their shellfish on Saturday, February 17, 2018. The Park Tavern right next to Piedmont Park was the destination for the Oysterfest. Instantly this location  became a unique spot in the heart of Atlanta to try oysters on the half shell, listen to live music, and sip on a festival mixed cocktail.   Actually, the mixed cocktails were plentiful and there were enough stations to keep the crowd moving without any uncomfortable long waiting. Most of the drinks were festival inspired and Ketel One Vodka served up a great version of Sea Breeze that was an awesome accompainment to the oysters. Goza Silver Tequila even offered up a spin on the margarita that was smooth and sea worthy. Of course there was beer to help balance out your tastebuds from Lager.
