The date went well, you danced, you laughed, you smiled, you kissed, you even held hands...and then the night was over and he said those famous four words..." I will call you!" The first couple of hours you are not worried at all because you spend that time analyzing the date. You go over your conversation, his eyes, those shoulders, that grip from his hand....basically you are doing an inventory of every single action that occurred when he was in your presence. Then you may even spend time romanticizing the next time he will see you. You want to look perfect, you want him to be in awe, you think of what to wear, what to do with your hair, what shoes will make him think you are some sort of sexy goddess....but then wait you realize he hasn't called yet. It is Friday night and you have a date to get ready for...what to wear? Well, if you are a shoe nut like me...you start with shoes first...then clothes. So why not a pair of sexy heels? Pull out your sexy heels and do the shoe ritual. The trick is you take a nice hot shower, shave those legs, and prance around in the mirror with nothing on but your heels. You get to look at all your assets elevated. Now, if the shoe hurts you can add a little water to expand the shoe and try buttering your foot with some heavy duty lotion or baby oil. You also want to look at the bottom and make sure it is not too slippery so you will not fall. You can scuff the bottom of the shoe up prior to going out- especially if it is a new shoe. Next, you walk back and forth and get a feel for the shoe and what that shoe does to your particular body parts. During a recent trip to Phipps Plaza I came across some really attractive and unusually tall young ladies standing outside Jeffrey Atlanta. Since it didn't seem likely a coincidence that so many slender and six feet plus ladies were all in the same place at once...I had to ask what's going on? Well, they informed me that they were all auditioning to be in the upcoming fashion show- Jeffrey Cares 2013. It seems next month this event serves as the official kick-off for fall fashion in Atlanta. The event includes a reception, a live auction, and culminates with a runway show. The proceeds all go to help various charities. Susan G. Komen For the Cure - Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta Aids Fund (AAF) are the benefiting charities. So while the young ladies are hopeful to become the chosen models; still, there is a great cause being served in the process. This show will also celebrate the 21st anniversary and is surely going to become one of those Atlanta events

There are some days when you need a little retail therapy to help to overcome whatever problems you are experiencing. What is it that is so elusive about shopping and purchasing some new item that enables us to instantly feel better. Better than aspirin, ibuprofen, or any kind of pain killers is the immediate uplift associated with shopping. Does that perfect little summer dress or that irresistible pair of heels really have the power to help you forget that the bathroom flooded again?
